Rabid Response Teams are at the field, due to a suspected hotspot of infection with (PPR ) in (Al-Gharraf )district, this was mentioned by a source from the Directorate of Veterinary, and said that within the framework of cooperation between the Directorate of Veterinary and Lifestock company , the (Dhi Qar) rapid response team (RRT) went to the infected area of plague of Small ruminants (PPR) in (Al-Gharraf) district (Al-Saeed village) – Thi-Qar governorate – Iraq, where samples were collected from infected animals (blood, swabs, dead tissues) for the purpose of sending them to the central laboratory in Baghdad. It is known that the disease is endemic in Iraq.
