The World Organisation for Animal Health has mentioned at their site that (117) Listed diseases are presented, criteria for including diseases in the list are detailed in the WOAH Terrestrial and Aquatic Codes. Several emerging diseases and additional important diseases (which are not listed by the WOAH) and more than (50) wildlife diseases which may have a serious impact on livestock health and public health and can adversely affect wildlife conservation. Resolutions passed by the International Committee and recommendations issued by the Regional Commissions instructed the WOAH Headquarters to establish a single WOAH list of note fable terrestrial and aquatic animal diseases to replace the former Lists A and List B.
