The World Veterinary Association (WVA) and )HealthforAnimals( present the Nigerian Veterinary Medical Association (NVMA) with the World Veterinary Day award for their efforts to strengthen veterinary resilience and bring attention to this vital cause.The World Veterinary Association announced that, the Award is open to all WVA Veterinary Associations who submit evidence of activities that demonstrated their support to the WVDA 2022 theme "Strengthening Veterinarians Resilience." These included local campaigns, educational seminars for the public, media campaigns, new research, among others. The award ceremony will be held at the 38th World Veterinary Association Congress 2023 – Taiwan. The award and cheque will be received by the President of the Nigerian Veterinary Medical Association, Dr. Olutoyin Adetuberu. The NVMA was selected for its commitment for both public health and the health of the veterinarians as they kept working to maintain health of human and health of animals
